Hello!
What a wintery day this has turned into! We will be closing early at 1:00 today - Friday, January 12. Stone Creek is also closing at 1:00. The snow continues to fall and the roads are only getting messier.
We are excited to announce a new book group in partnership with Kim Suhr and Red Oak Writing. Reading Wisconsin will meet every other month at 6pm to discuss a book from a Wisconsin Publisher. Kim will lead the discussions and guide the selections. Our first book is Still True by Maggie Ginsberg and published by University of Wisconsin Press. Still True won the 2023 Wisconsin Library Association Literary Award for Fiction. It has received glowing reviews from some of out favorite authors and readers!
The first meeting will be Tuesday, February 20th.
Our next Reading from Oconomowaukee is on Wednesday, January 17 at 7pm with author Jane Delury for her book Hedge. This will be a fun virtual conversation with Lisa, Daniel (from Boswell Book Company, and author Liam Callanan.
Enjoy the winter beauty and the quiet to read a little bit more.
