Flights
Go Ahead Tours offers the convenience of booking your flights for you to make your on tour experience easy and seamless. You can also purchase your own flights, and if you do so can add transfers to and from the airport ($25 per person per leg) as long as you arrive and depart on the days the tour is arriving and departing.
If you purchase flights through Go Ahead Tours
here is what you can expect
- 24/7 Support
- Transfers to and from the airport are included (only if you arrive and depart on the days the tour is running, if you want to extend your stay we cannot offer transfers)
- At the time of enrollment pricing quotes is for economy airfare
- Go Ahead Tours cannot request seating in group space
- Economy class upgrades not available
- Go Ahead Tours doesn’t guarantee a specific routing or specific airlines
- Flight routing will be available approximately 85 days before tour leave
SPECIAL FLIGHT REQUEST:
- If you are interested in any of the flight request options below, confirm your TSA information in your Go Ahead Tours account/app. This includes your full name as listed on your passport, gender as listed on your passport, date of birth, passport number, passport expiration date, and country of issue.

Then, email Nicole Giuliani (nicole.giuliani@ef.com) letting her know which option (and corresponding information). After May 1st, 2024, she will not submit any more flight requests for this trip.
- Once the request has been processed by flights team, Nicole will reach out to you individually with pricing, routing, and a deadline in which she would need you to accept or deny this request. Sometimes Go Ahead Tours is unable to hold flight itineraries and pricing and if so, they will need you to accept ASAP to confirm that price point. If you accept, they will add the additional cost onto your order and process payment immediately using your card on file. Payment has to be taken at the time of approval.
- Once you approve the request and payment is taken, those will be your official flights and you can move forward with seat selection. Seating is always at the discretion of the airline so please connect with the respective airlines for all your seating needs. Sometimes you can do so via your account with the airline, over the phone with an airline representative, or done at check-in. To emphasize this once more, sometimes you cannot change/select seats until check-in (this has happened before).
- However, if there is a change in the itinerary initiated by the airline after the flight request itinerary has been ticketed, the tour operator will help you navigating this matter.
- Always expect additional costs for any flight request
TYPES OF FLIGHT REQUEST :
1. Specific routing or specific airlines: If you would like to request one this would be categorized as a special request and is subject to additional cost.
2. Premium Economy and Business Class: Premium Economy upgrades are around $1000-2500 and Business Class upgrades are around $3000-5500 for tours to Europe, in addition to the flight price you were quoted at when booking flights from your home gateway. These upgrades could be more as well – it is dependent on many factors. These seating upgrades are roundtrip but are only guaranteed for the international legs of an itinerary. Travelers are not able to upgrade to Premium Economy or Business Class directly through the airline. All upgrades must be done through Go Ahead Tours prior to ticketing, if using Go Ahead Tours flights. Travelers cannot upgrade flights using their miles (through Go Ahead Tours or through the airline). As a reminder, there are limited amounts of upgraded seats on any plane that has such cabin offerings. Additionally, Go Ahead Tours is competing with public purchases with these upgrades so know that this seating can be sparse at times.
3. Deviation: If you would like to extend your time in Europe and fly out of a different departure city in Europe back to the US, deviations can explored. For this trip, the departure city is Venice. Should you wish to fly out of a different European city at a later day after the departure day in Venice, the tour operator simply needs to know which city and on which date you wish to depart. They will be able to let you know if they frequent that departure city and can let you know when to expect an estimated departure. However, if they do not frequent that departure city, they will work through that matter accordingly. The other important piece to the deviation is that you will be responsible for any internal flights/transportation to the new departure city. Go Ahead Tours is unable to manage that process
4. Pre-Stays or Post-Stays: If you would like to arrive prior to the tour start date, or stay after the tour, please let Go Ahead Tours know when you plan to do such. A pre-stay would take place in Milan and a post-stay would take place in Venice. They will prioritize your pre/post-stay in the first/last hotel on tour, but if they have no availability on those day(s), and if there’s an additional cost at that hotel, they will provide you an alternate option for no additional cost. Their system will find out the cost of the pre/post-stay when they add that information onto your order, so they can take payment upon confirmation. However, with the flight portion, Nicole will work with her flights team and provide you with that additional cost, and take payment once you confirm the routing.
