Greetings,

Welcome to my very first newsletter! I have some book news to share, some exciting events coming up, and a couple of spooky situations to spotlight, so I thought this would be the best way to keep people informed. Scroll down for details.

If you didn't sign up for this newsletter and are not interested in having one more thing in your inbox, I totally get it. Please hit the unsubscribe link at the bottom, and I'll happily ghost you. But if you want to hear about my Spooky America books, learn where I'll be doing author events, and find out about the spirit that may or may not be haunting my office, stick around. These updates will arrive twice a month at the most.

Have a great day,

Carie

Ghostly Encounters Too Close to Home

This is Indie, my adorable, rambunctious, one-year-old cat. A couple of weeks ago, I'm pretty sure he saw a ghost right next to the desk where I'm currently sitting. Watch a video of Indie's ghostly encounter on my blog.

What I'm Reading

A Botanist's Guide to Flowers and Fatality

Saffron Everleigh is a botanist in London in the 1920s who uses her knowledge of plants to help solve crimes. This sequel to A Botanist's Guide to Parties and Poisons is just as delightful as the first book. Kate Khavari's style of writing is enjoyable to read, and her characters keep me coming back for another chapter when I should be writing or doing laundry.
