Boise, ID -- 05/17/2024 -- Election information regarding the 2024 Trustee Election of the Boise School Board is now available on the Boise School District's 2024 Trustee Election website.
The Trustee Election will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024. The Trustee Election will consist of three separate Trustee races:
- Race #1 is for three trustee positions on the Boise School Board, each with a six-year term. Those positions are currently occupied by Maria Greeley, Elizabeth Langley and Shiva Rajbhandari.
- Race #2 is for one trustee position on the Boise School Board with a four-year term. That position is currently occupied by Debbie Donovan.
- Race #3 is for one trustee position on the Boise School Board with a two-year term. That position is currently occupied by Dr. Paul Bennion.
Applications for candidacy to the Board of Trustees will be available beginning Friday, May 17, 2024 in the Clerk of the Board's office, 8169 W. Victory Rd., Boise, ID, or on the District's 2024 Trustee Election website.
Interested patrons must complete and return a Declaration of Candidacy form to the Boise School District's Clerk of the Board Office at 8169 W. Victory Rd., Boise, ID 83709 between Monday, June 24, 2024 and Friday, July 5, 2024, before 5:00 p.m.
Absentee Ballot Request Forms Now Available
Absentee Ballot request forms for the Tuesday, September 3, 2024 Boise School Board Trustee Election will be available starting Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Boise School District Services Center, 8169 W. Victory Rd., Boise, ID 83709 or on the District's 2024 Trustee Election website.
Completed Absentee Ballot request forms must be received by the Boise School District by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024. The District will begin mailing Absentee Ballots to voters for the September 3rd, 2024 Election on Monday, July 29, 2024. All completed Absentee Ballots must be returned to the Boise School District Services Center, 8169 W. Victory Road, Boise, ID 83709 by Election Day, September 3, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
Qualifications of Trustees
To be eligible to run for election, a Board candidate must be at least 18 years of age, a resident and registered voter of the Boise School District, and have no pecuniary interest, either directly or indirectly, in any contract with the District. Before entering upon his/her duties, he/she shall take and subscribe an oath faithfully to perform the duties of his/her trust according to law; and no Trustee shall have any pecuniary interest, either directly or indirectly, in any contract with said District, or in any supplies furnished to or for said District, nor shall any Trustee be surety for the performance of any contract with the said Board or District, or the agent or partner of any contractor with said Board or District, and no action shall be maintained or recovery had against said Board of District upon any contract or obligation in which any Trustee is so interested, but the same shall be void. (Section 3 of Charter).

Boise School District is looking for community members interested in becoming a Chief Judge or a Poll Worker for the Boise School District Trustee Election. If you would like to become a poll worker for the Boise School District Trustee Election, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Attend mandatory training, and
- Remain politically neutral while serving at the polls.
