Fun Fact: Kirk Wilson's grandparents have been living in Blythewood since the 1960s! He is also a Gamecocks fan!

Kirk Wilson

Kirk Wilson is the Town of Blythewood's Building and Zoning Analyst and has been working here for 11 years! He handles building, permitting, and zoning aspects of our Town. Kirk enjoys working with people and seeing the Town of Blythewood continue to grow and develop. He was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina and continues to reside in Columbia with his wife, 6-year-old son, and 4-year-old daughter. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his kids, fishing, and golfing. His favorite color is garnet and his favorite food is BBQ and rice and hash. Stop by Town Hall to meet Kirk!

Lee Riley Retires!

On April 5th, Lee Riley, the Town's Maintenance Technician officially retired. She has kept the Town of Blythewood clean for about 24 years! She was an extremely hard worker and she will be missed very much! A tree was planted in Doko Meadows Park in honor of her service to the Town. Go check it out - it is in the small field to the right of Doko Station!

2024 Building Official of the Year, Brian Blackwell

We would like to recognize and congratulate Brian Blackwell for receiving the 2024 Building Official of the Year from the Building Officials Association of South Carolina! The Town of Blythewood appreciates all of your hard work!

Park Master Plan Presentation

The Doko Meadows Park Master Plan Presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 8th at Doko Manor. Doors open at 5:30PM with a presentation at 6:00pm and a Q&A at 6:30PM. Come learn about the future of Doko Meadows Park! Follow Doko Meadows Park here on Facebook.

Memorial Day Holiday

Town Offices will be closed on Monday, May 27th, 2024 in observance of Memorial Day. Town Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 at 8:30AM.

UPCOMING EVENTS

There will be a blood drive through American Red Cross in Blythewood Park on Thursday, May 2nd from 10AM-3PM. Click here to schedule an appointment and be sure to use "Blythewood" for the sponsor code.

The 8th Annual Cinco de Mayo Par 3 Palooza Golf Tournament will be held May 6th, 2024 at the Cobblestone Park Golf Course. Check in is at 10:00AM and Shotgun Start is at 12:00PM! Contact Mike Ross at 803-606-9000 for more information.
