Construction Safety Week

It's Construction Safety Week! Throughout this week Joel Crotts, Blum Safety Manager, is hosting a "safety stand-down" where teams can pause regular work and call special attention to construction safety, training, goals, and expectations.

SCHEDULE:

✓ Today, May 8th - Ladder Safety, Fall Protection, Silica, Confined Space Overviews (WS)

Traqspera - Going LIVE!

Traqspera training sessions are ongoing this week and we are still on schedule to go live the week of May 20th. Thank you to all who attended the training sessions so far and to those who have tested the system over the last few weeks. We have received a lot of positive feedback and are excited to officially launch Traqspera!

When you submit your time for the week of May 20th in Traqspera, you will no longer submit timesheets via email. Please have your time submitted for approval by 10am the morning of May 27th. If you are an Approver, please have the approval submitted by noon on Tuesday, May 28th.

Crane Delivery for Blum Construction!

"We are a planning business. Always have a plan."

A crane with the capacity to extend up to nine stories was transported to demolish the old Guilford County jail, paving the way for construction of the new Guilford County Sheriff’s Administration Building. The crane’s substantial size necessitated countless hours of planning and coordination, culminating in its triumphant - and police-escorted - arrival on the morning of Sunday, May 5th.

What We Accomplished

Shout out for showing up!

Lately, we have been involved in several project milestones big and small: ribbon cuttings, groundbreaking and topping out events, moving projects from the preconstruction phase to the construction phase, project hand-offs, and countless others. We'd like to say a quick THANK YOU to those who showed up - whether that is physically attending an event, working behind the scenes to make an event happen, or working on a project itself.

Thank you for showing up EVERY DAY in your roles. That is a huge accomplishment which impacts not only Blum Construction as a whole, but the communities and organizations within our projects.
