A message from Blum's President & CEO, Mike Lancaster:
I’m often asked, “What is Blum’s culture like?” Whenever I’m asked this question, I start with our passion to be a trusted builder and deliver exceptional experience – every time. This drive shapes what I have come to refer to as the “Heart of Blum”.
The Heart of Blum encompasses many things, but none more important than our core beliefs. Beliefs drive behaviors and the right behaviors produce best-in-class results. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to read in detail our core beliefs below:
Integrity & Honesty - The foundation of all that we do is built on trust. This means doing the right thing when no one is looking, making the tough decision, confronting the facts, and addressing an issue versus procrastinating and hoping it goes away.
High Performance - We seek to add value by driving for high performance at all‐times. An operationally excellent company produces best‐in‐class project results related to schedule, documentation, quality, and profitability. High performing people are self‐motivated and look for ways to be solution providers, overcome obstacles, and initiate change to the betterment of all parties.
Strong Relationships - We build unwavering, strong relationships with our employees, clients and industry partners that share our values. We respond to each other with urgency, we listen to each other, we have fun, and we collaborate to achieve great results. Communication is foundational to success. Verbal communication creates great relationships; written communication creates commitments and obligation.
Safety & Well‐Being - We care about each other. We value the safety and well‐being of our employees, clients, and peers on and off the jobsite.
Continuous Improvement & Development - We strive to improve our core processes and develop technically excellent builders and passionate effective leaders.
