General Superintendent, Josh Cook, was there to accept the award on our behalf. Current Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at the Salvation Army Christmas Warehouse


The Blum Team has the opportunity from now until December 15th to volunteer at the Salvation Army's Christmas Warehouse in Clemmons. Volunteers will help gather and sort Christmas gifts from within the warehouse for local families in need.


There are several days and time slots available. If you would like to participate, please contact Cindi Dillard (cindi.dillard@flblum.com) as soon as possible.

What We Accomplished

Volunteering at the Good Shepherd Center - #GivingTuesday


On Giving Tuesday (November 28th) a dedicated group of Blum Construction employees from the Raleigh office came together for a heartwarming cause. They volunteered at the Good Shepherd Center in Wilmington, preparing and serving dinner to those in need.


Stockings for Soldiers & Christmas Decorations


Spearheaded by Cindi Dillard and Carol Anne Sowell, the Winston-Salem office gathered in the café on December 1st to stuff stockings full of gifts and personal hygiene items to send to active-duty soldiers in the armed forces for Christmas. The crew also helped set up festive holiday decorations that will be used at the Winston-Salem Office Christmas party.

On November 20th, Senior Services of Winston-Salem celebrated the official Grand Opening of their new Blum-built Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness. What a great day to celebrate relationships and new beginnings!

Brookside Commons Ribbon Cutting and Open House


At the Givens Highland Farms Brookside Commons Open House on November 21st, Blum Vice President, Mark Dunnagan shared warm remarks of his experience with Givens Highland Farms over the last 10 years, the construction projects that have come and gone, and the hundreds of new families that were able to move in because of the growth.

On that day, Blum, Givens Highland Farms, the designers, and residents celebrated the Grand Opening of the new Brookside Commons and Apartments.

On November 22, the Blum-SCS team gathered for a Thanksgiving lunch to celebrate and chat about their joint venture project, Winston-Salem Choice Neighborhoods Initiative Phase 1.
