Candidates must be available to serve on the Board in an active, volunteer capacity, and attend monthly evening board meetings. Since its founding in 1949, the firm's integrated practices in Structural Engineering, Façade Engineering, Renewal, Forensics, Sustainability, Construction Engineering and Property Loss Consulting have addressed the full cycle of a structure. His expertise spans numerous market sectors, including airports, commercial buildings, educational facilities, cultural institutions, sports facilities and transit centers. In 2004, Bruce joined Thornton Tomasetti and established the firm's Los Angeles office. A member of its board of directors, he leads the firm's U.S. Western region. Bruce is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California, American Institute of Steel Construction and the U.K.'s Institution of Structural Engineers.

On Thursday, June 16, a panel of leading Southern California developers shared their successes with recent multi-family, mixed-use, hospitality, and low-income housing projects. Dan Rosenfeld of Community Partners; Gerard McCallum of Wilson Meany; Jeff Anglada of Wincome; and Patrick D. Spillane of IDS Real Estate Group provided AAa/e members and guests with a first-hand outlook about future real estate and development trends.
