Capitol Update

Gov. Lee's State of the State Address:

He emphasized a number of major initiatives that include franchise tax reductions, school choice, state government permitting reform, rural health initiatives, and social media/technology regulation focused on protecting both minors and songwriters.


With slowing state revenue growth Lee’s budget proposal still maintains investments in several crucial areas for the business community.

Save a Life

In honor of American Heart Month, CPR Choice is excited to offer a chamber exclusive CPR/AED course at a special discounted rate of $35 per person (usually $50)! It takes place February 22 from 9-11 a.m. at the Blount Partnership. Limited to 50 participants.

Long Range Transportation Plan

Join Knoxville Regional TPO at an upcoming community meeting so they can hear from you as they begin the update to our region's long range transportation plan!


Meeting takes place at the Blount County Library on February 13 from 4-7 p.m.

High Schoolers to Attend Job Fair

The Blount County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Blount County Job Fair sponsored by Amazon the Great Smoky Mountains Association on February 21 at Foothills Mall in Maryville from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.


For the first time, some of our local schools are sending high school students to the job fair. This is an excellent opportunity to speak to those who are looking for an internship, part time job, or the right company to launch their careers with upon graduation.
