Dear Grace Family,

As always, you give so generously! We received 2,073 items to give to our neighboring students! Thank you for supporting our youth! The children in Sunday School bagged up the left-over supplies. They did an excellent job! We will finish handing them out to our neighbors that come for the food pantry. Thank you, ladies who work in the food pantry for accepting this extra labor of love!

It is that time of year again, the children and teachers are going back to school! Before we send them back, don’t forget to come to church this Sunday, 8/11/24 with your backpacks for the Blessing of the Backpacks! We want all the children and teachers to start their new school year equipped with blessings, God’s love, and the warmth of your love and prayers!

We will also have a Townhall meeting right after church on Sunday, 8/11/24. We will discuss the wedding policies for Grace. Pastor Kate has shared with us the changes made for the Methodist Church, and we as a congregation must decide how we want to move forward. Please plan to join us for the meeting, your input is important.

We are already coming to our second Senior Luncheon! It will be at Simo’s Diner at 5004 N. Shepherd Dr. at 11:30 am on Tuesday, 8/20/24. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex to let me know that you will attend. You can also e-mail me at family@graceintheheights.org to sign up. We need to let the diner know how many guests will attend. It was fun last luncheon, so come out and join the group!

There will be a new bible study that will begin this month on Tuesday, the 20th. It is called, I Think You’re Wrong. If you have never done a bible study or it has been a long time since you were in one, you should join the group. I was impressed with The Disciple Class that just finished in July! We learned so much together and shared our thoughts and life stories! It was a wonderful way to grow in faith together and have great fellowship along the way!

There are so many wonderful ways to share God’s love with one another! May we always see His Light, feel His love, and extend it to all our neighbors that we may encounter daily.

Blessings Family!
