Boy Scout Troop 313 member and Barbee member, Landen Summers completed his Eagle Scout project, a Blessing Box food pantry, to reach the Eagle rank in the Boy Scout program.
Summers' idea for a Blessing Box food pantry got stuck in his head several years ago after the little food pantry concept became a national movement.
Barbee provides a perfect location for the Blessing Box food pantry.
Contributions to the Blessing Box should be non-perishable canned goods, proteins, and personal care items. Therefore, it is our hope and prayer that the community will embrace the Blessing Box food pantry and that its shelves will be full.
