Our 2021 Goal
Blankets for 25,000 Children in Foster Care
Current blanket count - 5,654
Blankets connect us from coast to coast

We are thankful for you, our Blanket Angel Coordinators. Each heart on the map represents one or more of you, in 25+ states, providing love, hope and handmade blankets for children in foster care all across the U.S.
Our first BAC virtual gathering was a success
We were excited to meet “face-to-face” with four of our Blanket Angel Coordinators on our first-ever virtual gathering. On March 19, Jessica and Judy, our Facebook Coordinator, chatted with Alison from Cincinnati; Judi from Copley, Ohio; Rhonda from Alabama; and Colleen from Michigan. We look forward to getting together with even more of you next time!
Welcome to these “official” members of the BAC team. Thanks for your support!
Judi from Akron, Ohio
Carol K. from Lebanon, Ohio
John from Rhode Island
Carol G. from Delta, Ohio
Rhonda R. from Alabama
Rachel from Cardington, Ohio
Rhonda D. from Camden, Ohio
You're invited to our next virtual BAC gathering - April 29, 5:00 pm ET
We're getting together again! Blanket Angel Coordinators from all over the U.S. are invited to take a few minutes on Friday, April 29 at 5:00 p.m. ET to visit virtually with us and each other. This is your chance to ask questions, get new ideas and be inspired by your fellow BACs!

We look forward to seeing your face and hearing your voice - as close to in-person as we can get right now. The link and instructions are below.

For future gatherings, would another time of day work better for you? Please let us know!

If you have never "Zoomed" before, visit the Zoom Help Center for a video that shows how to join a meeting. The page also contains written instructions and a test meeting you can join to practice.
Birthday girl chooses to make blankets during her virtual party
Blanket angel Emily holds the blankets she and her friends made at Emily’s 11th Zoom birthday party recently. She even used her new sewing machine to attach our special tags.

Emily and her mother Laura donated the blankets to a children services agency near their home in Highland Heights, outside Cleveland.

Emily’s work will continue with a second group of fleece kits that she’ll make with her grandma’s sewing group.
BACs are providing for foster children in Kentucky
Stephanie, a caseworker from StepStone Family and Youth Services in Erlanger, Kentucky, picked up 47 blankets – fleece, crochet and quilts – made by BACs Alison and Carolyn in southern Ohio.
Here Stephanie is picking up blankets from our workshop to add to those she will be taking back to StepStone. We are grateful for faithful Blanket Angels who made this donation possible.
Strawberries front & back
Here’s an unusual idea for coordinating a quilt front and back. Just one square from the strawberry pattern on the front is strategically placed on the back.
This wonderful creation was donated by the do. Good Stitches quilting group.
Crochet fabric edges for unique blankets
Some of our blanket angels like to create one-of-a-kind blankets by crocheting the edges of flannel pieces to make soft, beautiful, unique blankets like those shown here.

You can make them quickly and work on them almost anywhere. Check out the video below and try it !
