Dear Friend

"We have come too far to be discouraged or to lose hope or to stop believing in the dream." - Coretta Scott King

Black History Month is the perfect time to honor past African American achievements, unite in the present, and inspire everyone to believe in the power of a dream for the future. Our communities have emerged from 2020 hopeful that this new year will be better than the last. Children and young adults have been noticeably impacted by the pandemic, most especially in minority and low income households.

Greenlight Family Services continues to address a surge in referrals across all programs. Services to those hardest hit by the disruption caused by the pandemic is a priority. In honor of Black History Month, choose to make Greenlight your organization to support so that the progress of the past does not come to a standstill.

This February, inspire new dreams for families, children, and young adults.

Sincerely

Greenlight in the Community
Inspired by the knowledge that foster kids usually travel from foster home to foster home with all of their possessions in a black garbage bag, Mark and Tradara McLaurine of Tremark Logistics decided to make a difference with Operation "Christmas in a Case."

Tradara approached Greenlight with their incredible donation idea. Together, we ensured that 50 children in the Illinois foster care system currently waiting to be adopted received suitcases filled with clothing, shoes, and toys from their wish lists. Operation "Christmas in a Case" brought pure joy to overwhelmingly grateful children. Thank you, Mark and Tradara. You have truly made a difference!
