Oh, What a Night for Wounded Warriors and Sustainable Fashion!
On November 14, Planet Aid Thrift Store was one of the proud sponsors of a Sustainable Fashion Show honoring French and American veterans at the Embassy of France in Washington, D.C.
Encore Projects hosted a remarkable night spotlighting veterans and wounded warriors in glamorous sustainable outfits from the Planet Aid Thrift Store.
The evening was full of inspirational moments, from patriotic songs to honoring the French and American military, to stories of personal triumph over affliction. Although many of the veterans have visible and invisible scars, the reused clothing served as a metaphor for these heroic individuals' resilience in embracing their second act.
Proceeds from the Sustainable Fashion Show support the Wounded Warrior Project.
