Bill Everett, James Robinson, and Will Eisner,

Cats, Comics, like any other entertainment industry, has no shortage of hype. Every Wednesday here at Black Cat Comics in Rockin' Milpitas we're going on and on in hyperbolic fashion about this biggest thing ever and that biggest thing ever, and of course that week we really mean it! But over the next couple of weeks we're going to be exhausting our Quinjets telling you about the (for reals this time) biggest events of the whole year! Yeah, Free Comic Book Day is thousands of people around the world, but it's only one day. Our Black Cat Comics Halloween Spooktacular will scare you so bad your Grandma won't recognize you, but it's only one chilling evening. But as we all know San Diego Comic Con, and our own local version the Black Cat Comics Rockin' Milpitas Pre-Comic-Con Comic-Con, lasts FIVE DAYS! All week, from our Subscriber-only Preview Night tonight until the end of the Swap Meet and bargain basement sale on Sunday, we have in-store events that are packed with fun and good times! Then next Wednesday through Sunday we'll be bringing you all the Comic-Condemonium LIVE from Sunny San Diego! Did we mention the biggest couple of weeks ever? We say "get on down here to Rockin' Milpitas," and we've never meant it more than right now!

Around here we love Comic-Cons. Local scenes like our own little show this week, or the other Greatest Show on Earth, SDCC! So when, not coincidentally, a book called Harley Quinn Invades Comic-Con International San Diego shipped this week, it jumped off the shelves and into our twisted black hearts! Here at Black Cat we know about the thrills and less than thrilling aspects of Con, and seeing our favorite psychotic not-a-sidekick tackling these same treats and threats will be nothing short of lethally funny. Pick up this book for the ride to San Diego, or to get a taste what you'll be missing down there! - Causey

Let's face it, folks. The initial launch of TEEN TITANS for THE NEW 52 was a bit of a disappointment. But there is good news, TITANS fans! DC has heard your outcries and has acted accordingly by launching an all new TEEN TITANS #1 with a completely new creative team! This is the Titans series you have been looking for the last couple of years.  So jump on here and start on a great adventure with RED ROBIN, WONDER GIRL, RAVEN, BUNKER and BEAST BOY as you haven't seen them since THE NEW 52 began! - Justin

After an arduous journey and multiple team-ups, Batman has found Damian's body. However, Batman's battle with Ra's Al Ghul is cut short by...the forces of Apokolips!? This mission is about to get a heck of a lot more dangerous for Bruce as he delves deeper into the abyss in search of a resurrection for his dearly departed Damian. Robin Rises #1 promises to shake up the Batman status quo, and perhaps bring us a new (or old?) Robin, so don't miss out on part one of the story! - Ian

A mysterious blue court file has proven deadly and Jennifer Walters doesn't know who to trust in the all-new She-Hulk #6! This series debuted with a fast and funny story concerning the son of Dr. Doom, and now for this second arc writer Charles Soule has teamed up with new artist Ron Wemberley to craft a large scale conspiracy story with significantly high - and dangerous - stakes! With these two in charge you can expect a healthy dose of intrigue and thrills, plus the same sort of smart and witty characterization that makes this book a whole lot of fun. Don't hesitate and pick up She-Hulk now! - Ben

Xavier knew he wasn't going to live forever. In Uncanny X-Men #23 we learn what he wanted to happen when his end finally came. Could he have suspected that his prodigal son would be his assassin? And what exactly did Charles have to leave to anyone? The effects of Avengers Vs X-men continue to ripple throughout the Marvel Universe, seen most clearly here in the core X-title. We've loved the dark side of Cyclops, and have encouraged you to read this title from the beginning, but you can start right here with this Original Sin tie-in issue! - Causey

Causey's Classic Corner

Cats, this week's message is for everyone who isn't a Devil Dinosaur like I am, and I mean that with every inference. I'm an old Comic Book Guy, and as much as I love all the new people coming into Comics ( I do my damndest to bring 'em in, don't I?), I don't really remember what it's like to be one of them. I saw my first comic decades ago. And they, of course, don't know what it's like to be me, either. They won't be my age for another Zoic Era, and they probably won't have almost 100 long boxes of comics when they get there. But Classic Comics is a place where each and every one of us can get together. Where we can all find some common ground. Where we can all find a comic we've never read. Whoever you are, and for whatever reason you're here, there's a Classic Comic we can talk about. This week I encourage you to come to one of our sales and buy some Classics. And when we get back from SDCC, make sure you take a good look at the back wall to see all the scores from our trip. And while you're at it, bring a new guy or gal with you. Put a classic comic in their hand, and maybe something from the New Release wall, too. Just a few bucks can change someone's life forever! An old Archie, Batman, or Spider-Man comic. A new Archie, Batman, or Spider-Man comic. A graded Near Mint key or a taped together old favorite. They're all cool. We're all cool. And we can all hang out together. - Causey
