April showers, May flowers, Dark Towers, and Super Powers,

Here at Black Cat Comics in rockin' Milpitas we know that they couldn't call it the "Never-ending Battle" if the battle came to a simple and satisfying conclusion. In Comics, as in Life, one issue comes to its senses-shattering, climactic conclusion, but the next issue, filled with the potential for triumph and tragedy, is just a Wednesday away. Sometimes the storyline concludes with you having overcome the sinister plot of the devious villain, and sometimes the arc finishes with you suffering a terrible loss at the hands of cruel Fate, but either way, those stories end and a new story begins again. And also in Comics as in Life, we can go back and revisit those old stories, to enjoy the thrills and re-learn the lessons, while remembering that those old tales weren't the end of our hero's journey, and that new adventures lie ahead. If your current storyline has you saving the world with your brains and talent, then enjoy all the fun and excitement and look forward to your next challenge. If the latest arc has you getting your face stepped on while Darkseid blasts you with Omega Beams, well, keep in mind that the writer has a way for you to win this fight, and it's really cool, but it might take 11 more issues. Hang in there and keep punching. Here in rockin' Milpitas we know that every Wednesday gives us a chance to shake of the bitter defeats of the past, celebrate fun and good times in the present, and focus on making the future a better place for fans of Comics everywhere. Here's what we have to help inspire you to greatness this week...

You don't have to be designed for etiquette and protocol to read Star Wars Special: C-3PO #1! People have been trying to "shut him up or shut him down" since the first scene of Episode IV, but the droid who was made to suffer keeps telling them the odds. What's Threepio doing with that red arm? Find out in this issue in a story that leads up to his appearance in Episode VII. We've been encouraging you to pick up all the titles from Marvel's Star Wars line, and this one-shot from the all-time great James Robinson is no exception. For more fun in the Galaxy far, far away, also pick up this week's Darth Vader #19. - Causey

Ra's al Ghul and Shredder have stolen the one thing that can stop the turtles from dying in Batman's dimension. Last issue we saw Casey Jones come into Gotham with five canisters of the mutagen that could save his friends; he was greeted by the foot clan and barley made it out of the battle alive. Now Shredder is making plans to attack Arkham Asylum, will Batman and the Turtles be able to stop his plans before all of the worst criminals in Gotham are set loose? Pick up your copy of   Batman TMNT #5   this week! - Anthony

In this new six part series, Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys, Harley is joined by her new team of oddball assistants. They have been going at it for a few months, but the team is still figuring out the ropes. However, things are getting tougher for the gang when Harley is kidnapped by someone with a personal vendetta against her. With everything they care about on the line, the team has to find out if they have what it takes to stand alone without Harley. Find out in Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys #1! - Cassie

I am so excited to read Dark and Bloody #3 this week! The DC Vertigo stuff has just been on fire! And this title is no different. Set in the isolated woods of Kentucky, this story is a mix of sci-fi, horror and good old fashioned murder mystery. As Vertigo likes to do, this book crosses several genre types seamlessly with an intriguing and out of the box story. Back from the War in Iraq, Iris is looking to make a quiet living for his family with a little moonshine. What happens after a regular sale is a murder mystery involving witchcraft/voodoo and some weird ass creatures. Check it out, if you're a horror fan you'll LOVE this book! -  Francie
