HAVE YOU EARNED NJ SICK TIME ACCRUAL?

(IMPORTANT INFORMATION)

In your Collective Bargaining Agreement, you earn more PTO then the “up to 40 hours” earned under the NJ Earned Sick Leave Law.


Because of this, JNESO members do not accrue NJ Earned Sick Leave.


However, JNESO was informed that under the Time-off Accrual column, some members are accruing NJ Earned Sick Leave. 


Bishop Management has removed NJ Sick Leave from the Time-off Accrual column.


Check your pay stubs to ensure that your PTO accrual is accurate.

ARTICLE 16 - PTO

(Page 18 of your Union Contract)

A. Full-time employees shall receive accrue PTO as follows:

1. 0– 10 years of employment: 14 days

2. 11 + years of employment: 20 days


B. All employees hired prior to the purchase of the Center, December 14, 2015, shall have their current Vacation schedule below Grandfathered to the following PTO level of time: 


1.  0-5 years: 15 days of PTO

2.  5+ years: 20 days of PTO

IF YOUR PTO DID NOT ACCRUE CORRECTLY, PLEASE PROVIDE:

  • Paystubs from November 10th, 2023 – January 5th, 2024; or  
  • Any paystubs showing your time under the column: Time-Off Accrual, NJ Sick.
