Exploring Neuronal Degeneration with DG-Sensor™ anti-NF-L Antibodies | Biosensis introduces new antibodies for research on neurodegeneration. These antibodies target the neurofilament light polypeptide (NF-L) and recognize epitopes in a small segment of NF-L protein, which is not ordinarily accessible to antibodies but becomes available in natural or native conditions upon degeneration. These antibodies are ideal for immunohistochemical detection of distressed neurons in frozen, 4% PFA fixed tissue sections. When used correctly, healthy neurons do not stain as the epitope remains hidden. | |
