Here’s a quick review of both events:

APRIL 10-12: THE ADSYNC SUMMIT, TAKING PLACE AT THE HARD ROCK HOTEL IN NYC AND ONLINE.

The potential of the effective usage of music in and ad or by a band not only elevates a brand, makes ad campaigns more effective, but it also can help artists build sales, reach new audiences and generate significant revenue.

The AdSync Summit is the first and only event that focuses on the ways and means music is used in advertising and by brands, which is a very different world than every other form of music for media.

For example, did you know that most music decisions are made without a music supervisor being involved at all? And did you know music decisions may come from any one of several stakeholders – from the brand manager to the editor to the creative director at the ad agency to the producer or the copywriter?

There are so many differences between how music decisions are made for ads and by brands and how the ad/brand ecosystem works in comparison to every form of media, I believe it is necessary for anyone wanting to be successful in this sector to build a separate strategy, competency and network that’s distinct from their approach to other media.

My mission in creating the AdSync Summit is to provide brands, ad agencies and the music industry with a forum that fosters conversations around the evolving usage of music in ads and by brands, and how people wanting to work in this space can do so successfully and create win-win-win relationships between brands, agencies and everyone in the music business.

The AdSync Summit is the first and only event in the world focusing on ad music and branded musical usages, and we hope you’ll join us at our inaugural event to help us shape and define the future of music for ads and brands.

UPCOMING MUSIC LISTENING SESSIONS:

For 2024, we have four all new listening sessions coming up, and we’ve changed a few things moving forward to make the experience better than ever. Here’s all the details, starting with the session dates, guests and times.

·     January 20: Brand Music Supervisor Gary Nuell

·     January 21: TV/Film Music Supervisor Mike Turner

The benefits you get from these sessions are:

  • Making a personal connection with a music supervisor, coordinator or sync agent where you can meet and talk directly.
  • Submitting a total of three songs for our guest to review and keep for their projects.
  • Have two songs (one more than in the past) listened to and get live feedback during the session.
  • Get live briefs to submit music if the guest has an active music search.
  • Get a video archive of the session for future review.
  • Get your songs shared with the guest in a final playlist for future review and usage in their projects.
  • Get your music shared to everyone in Sync Summit’s network and our social media.

The AdSync Listening Session Video Archive and Full 1100 Song Annoucnement

We just finished up our first AdSync Session and it was amazing.

There are so many reasons why it was amazing, and I’ll get to all of them, but the main reason this was awesome is that we and our partners did something no one has ever done before to empower musicians looking to connect their music to the ad industry and to brands.

So what exactly did we do?

We partnered with the SPSP – one of the largest organisations of ad creatives, music producers and agencies in Europe and bridge.audio – a tech company enabling music makers and creative decision makers at ad agencies and brands to connect, collaborate, license and create amazing music for messaging to create a new library of over 1100 songs from our community that will used as music resource for all 55 members of the SPSP.

And to make it even better, all the music and the musicians behind the music are connected directly to the agencies and the members of the SPSP if they wish to license a track from this new database. And, I’m going to expand the reach of this library by sharing it here, today, with my community and my network of music supervisors, agency creative and brand managers.

Here’s the first and best 100 songs as selected by bridge.audio and our team.

And here is a link to the other 1000 songs that were selected be bridge.audio and our team as great songs for ads and brands.

Then we gathered a panel of six key ad/brand music supervisors to discuss ad music, technology and listen to selected music from this new library.

All told, we had over 360 people from across the world attend this two hour panel, and the archive and password links are below for your review.

This was awesome and we’re going to do a lot more of these sorts of events with our partners and speakers as we get closer to the date of the AdSync Summit in April 2024.

Thanks again everyone who took part!

Best,

Mark

P.S., I promised everyone who took part I’d give you a list of clearable 90s songs to cover – click here to get it.
