The Washington County Fair opens today July 19 at 5PM. We are celebrating 20 years of Free Fair Fun this year. That’s right, we have been offering free admission to the Washington County Fair for 20 years now! It all kicks off tonight at 5PM and will continue for 10 straight days of the BIG FAIR FUN in Hillsboro at Westside Commons. 10 days gives you plenty of time to; try all kinds of “Fair Food,” jump on some carnival rides, look at all the different animals, play some Midway games and enjoy a ton of great Live music & entertainment all day every day. There are so many FREE things to do at the Washington County Fair, check out the entire Fair Schedule. Here’s a list of just 20 Free things to do - in keeping with our 20 years of Free Fair Fun theme - at the Fair this year:

1. Watch home grown talent, from right here in Washington County, Jacquie Roar at 8PM July 19 opening night on the Main Stage.
2. Watch the Sheriff’s Department compete against the Fire Department in Goat & Sheep Olympics next Friday July 26. The gauntlet has been thrown!
3. Learn some practical science at our interactive Super Science exhibit in the Grove area presented by NW Natural.
4. Watch an incredible aerial acrobatics display by iFlip any day of the fair.
5. 4-H is hosting a Small Animal, Goat, Sheep, Cattle & Swine Costume Contests on Sunday July 28.
6. Catch a free Movie on Sunday July 21 or Tuesday July 23 at 8PM at the Main Stage. Bring a blanket or a chair and get comfortable!
7. Watch some amazing strolling performers on stilts, juggling or playing music. Keep an eye out for our mascot Big Fair Frank too.
8. Monday, July 22 through Thursday, July 25 Parking is Free.
9. The Tap House stage has Live Music every day all day at the Fair.
10. Open Class Livestock will be in the barns Friday July 19 – Sunday July 21. 4-H & FFA Livestock will be in the barns Wednesday July 24 – Sunday July 28.
11. Calling all Swifties, RED: A Taylor Swift cover will be playing on the Main Stage at 8PM on Saturday July 20.
12. Watch a 4-H Robotics Demonstration in the Wingspan Event & Conference Center. Did we mention there is Air Conditioning in the Wingspan? That’s free too.
13. Bring your kids for a performance of the Silly Circus Show which features magic, juggling and much more with Join Bri Crabtree at the Grove Stage.
14. 4-H and FFA will be showing off their animals Wednesday July 24 through Sunday July 28.
15. You can play Chess, Checkers, Jenga, Cornhole and a ton of other games in the Grove’s shaded area.
16. Peruse this year’s community competition winners in the Conference Room of the Wingspan Event & Conference Center.
17. Play Floor is Lava on either weekend in the Grove with Play.Fit.Fun
18. Check out Brad’s World of Reptiles inside the Wingspan Event & Conference Center.
19. 4-H Cloverbuds (8 and under) will have a Show & Tell at Noon Sunday July 28.
20. Edna Vazquez Mariachi will be our closing night performance on the Main Stage at 7:30PM on Sunday July 28. You won’t want to miss it!
