Big Announcement -  Tonight 4:00 at the Tabernacle!

We are now a certified Age-Friendly Community!

Dear Healthy Aging Readers,

We are so excited to announce our acceptance into the WHO Global Network of Age-Friendly Communities and a member of the AARP
Network.

The big news is that JoAnn Jenkins, Chief Executive Officer of AARP will be presenting this certification to HA-MA leadership and members of the Boards of Selectman from each of the six towns today,

Thursday August 11th at 4:00 at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs.

Following the presentation, JoAnn Jenkins will be speaking about her
book, "Disrupt Aging".  It challenges the way we see ourselves getting older. She focuses on three core areas - health, wealth and self - to show how to embrace opportunities and change the way we live our days.

Her speech will be terrific!  I know it's August, and it's hot and very busy, but the Tabernacle is a wonderful place and this is history in the making.

Ms. Jenkins is a wise and powerful woman and the celebration of the Cottagers happens rarely.

Come, Enjoy and Join Us!
