Adolescents in the United States Face Unique Barriers to Abortion

Guttmacher Institute: The latest analysis from Guttmacher’s Abortion Patient Survey provides an in-depth look at the characteristics and circumstances of adolescent abortion patients in the years immediately before Roe v. Wade was overturned. Notably, adolescent abortion patients were found to be more likely than adult abortion patients to experience delays in accessing care due to lack of information and transportation barriers.

Activate: A new resource from the Activate Center summarizes research and practice literature, and provides guidance for youth-supporting professionals. It also describes cultural and systemic considerations associated with three key domains of healthy romantic relationships among youth: communication, boundaries/limits, and shared power.
