Some weeks are more difficult than others. That is a part of life. Things happen. The finances go the wrong direction. The relationship takes a wrong turn. The great plans are unfulfilled. Believer, circumstances will change. God never does. Perhaps the writer of Hebrews had this in mind at the end of chapter 6. The whole book of Hebrews is an exhortation to the people of God. The coming of Christ has not only fulfilled every prophecy of the Old Testament, but it is qualitatively better.
I was encouraged this week as this phrase was dropped into my spirit. The anchor for your soul.
Looking it up, this great truth is uplifting to believers in any circumstance. May the Lord bless you with the truth in this passage.
Hebrews 6:17-20 (ESV)
17So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath,
18so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.
19We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,20where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
Hallelujah! With Christ, who has gone before us, things can only get better!
See you Sunday

Plans for Bethel's 70th anniversary are underway! A 70th Anniversary Committee has been formed and they are working on plans for a great event. Plans include a fellowship hall class reunion, Sunday lunch, special music and more. Look for information on a church clean up day. Also, a few years ago our server crashed and we lost many addresses we would have had. People also move frequently. Will you help us? Send us names and addresses of former info@betheltemple.net members and their children that would be interested in celebrating with us. You could also forward this email by clicking the link below or searching for friends on facebook. Let's spread the word and enjoy a fantastic anniversary on May 22!

God's good purposes are accomplished when we participate in giving! He is the greatest Giver. He is the one who knows the power of sacrificial giving, because He sacrificed it all. Let's keep up the good work of giving, not for ourselves (who He has promised to bless) but for His purpose and His kingdom! Online giving makes it possible for you to give 24/7, or you can always give in the offering when you come to Church. Either way, your gift goes up to heaven as a sacred aroma to God (Philippians 4:10-20)
