Dear Friends,
As the new year begins, it is heartening to reflect on the extraordinary blessings that the Beth-El Center received throughout this past holiday season. It began with the community's eager response to Mayor Ben Blake's appeal for food donations.
Week after week, you brought us non-perishable food items, homemade baked goods, paper goods and thoughtful gifts such as hats, gloves and blankets. The response was overwhelming!
Our thanks goes out to individual donors, businesses and community partners who donated so generously to fill our pantry but also those who donated holiday gifts for our residents via our Adopt-a-Resident program. There was a great emotional response and expressions of thanks from our residents because they realize that the community cares for and about them.
2015 ended with the incredible support for o
ur Annual Appeal campaign. The generosity of so many in our community was reflected in your contributions which will help to enhance and sustain our programs. Thanks to you, Beth-El Center is helping shelter residents move from despair and homelessness to self-sufficiency and providing nutritious meals to those in need.
Best,
-
Toni

Since 1988, Bobette's Take Out in Milford has been making steaming hot soups that taste just like your mom's homemade recipes. With over 100 varieties made from fresh, quality ingredients, Bobette's serves up a different combination of seasonal or customer favorites daily.
Owners, Bobette Moore and Gary Caulfield, have a yearning to feed people that extends beyond their business. With a desire to give back to the community, close to ten years ago they consulted then-Mayor James Richitelli who recommended the Beth-El Center as a worthy cause. Bobette's started their 'Butternut Buddy Month' tradition where a portion of their butternut squash soup sales is donated to Beth-El Center every February.
According to Moore, "We're happy to help Beth-El because they're doing great things to assist the needy in the community of Milford."
