In The Community

Join us in-person or virtually for the panel series, "Refugees in Nebraska," where distinguished speakers from Omaha refugee communities will share their perspectives and stories. In the first episode, members of the Karen community will share their perspectives and stories. The panel will provide a comprehensive overview of the Karen community, shedding light on their unique traditions and contributions to the local fabric.Click here to learn more.

This Human Rights Forum proudly hosts three distinguished leaders from the Spirit of the Galilee organization. Rabbi Or Zohar, a Jewish Israeli scholar and musician, will be joined by Father Saba Haj, a Palestinian Israeli Arab Greek Orthodox Priest, and Ghadir Hani, a Palestinian citizen of Israel and a member of the Habima-Almanbar Initiative - a Religious Vision for Peace. JCRC Jewish Day of Action 2024

Fundraising Goal: $1,400

This is a special day for members of the Jewish community to meet their senators in Lincoln and express their concerns or support for legislation that impacts our community and our allies. The JCRC will host a kosher breakfast near the State Capitol and will continue with meetings and tours throughout the day. The JCRC is offering training sessions so that everyone feels comfortable in their ability to convey their thoughts about issues facing legislators. Click here to learn more.
