Yahrzeit Observance
To standardize practice with the majority of Reform congregations, and to encourage home observance, Temple Beth El will begin reading the names of deceased loved ones on the Shabbat before their yahrzeit is to be observed. To ease this transition in practice, throughout March names will be read on both the Shabbat before and after the yahrzeit date.
Please contact Rabbi Joel with any questions at 850-438-3321 ext 2 or rabbi@templebethelofpensacola.org.
For those wishing to observe a yahrzeit at home, white memorial candles are available for purchase at the Temple Beth El Gift Shop.

Another Successful Poker Tournament!
Temple Beth El's Annual Poker Tournament saw fierce competition among 75 players, with a notable presence of 10 women showcasing their skills.
The final table featured familiar faces from TBE, including Chuck Lisner, who secured a commendable 6th position, and Andrew Jurnovoy, claiming 3rd place. Chris Roney, spouse of two-time champion Jenny Roney, clinched an impressive 2nd place, yet it was Brandon Pheabus of Team Gross who emerged victorious, seizing the coveted top spot.
Special thanks to everyone who helped to make this year's tournament our best ever, and an unforgettable experience for all involved!
