A Baby Blanket Kit
This beautiful pattern is designed by Norah Gaughan and is in the book  Comfort Knitting and Crochet: Babies and Toddlers . When you buy this kit, you get the book, a $19.95 value, for free! This 150 page book contains over 50 knit AND crochet patterns. It focuses on Berroco Comfort, but you can also substitute Ultra Wool for any of these designs. This is an incredible offering from our friends at Berroco.

This blanket, inspired by mid-twentieth-century artwork, is made up of twenty Garter-stitch blocks.

The kit, which comes in three different color options, contains a total of 10 skeins of Berroco Comfort , a soft, machine washable, nylon/acrylic blend yarn, in the colors shown as well as the book.
The Togetherness Wrap
Pattern by Grace Akhrem

Togetherness is so important, and we were so grateful at the response this kit got when we first announced it last month. With all that is going on in the world, we thought you wouldn't mind thinking about togetherness.

As makers we can simply take yarn and turn it into something glorious with a few twists, tugs, and pulls. It's quite magical, and using a beautiful and inspiring yarn is one of the things in life that feeds our souls.

The pattern works two very different  Trendsetter  yarns together to create a play on texture, color, and drape. We've shown some color options here.  Click here to see them all.

For this project we want to donate to a charity that touched us deeply and is meaningful to us.  FeedAmerica.org  is an organization that hosts programs to provide meals for millions of families struggling with hunger.

For more details,  click here to pick out your favorite color combinations  and see all the details about the kit and the great work that  FeedAmerica  is doing.

Kits will include:
  • Three skeins of Trendsetter Yarns Recycled Linen Hand-Dyed
  • Two skeins of Trendsetter Yarns Alfa in two different colors
  • Pattern for wrap designed by Grace Akhrem

A Virtual Class!

Join us Saturday July 18 from 9AM to Noon to learn to knit the Destello Scarf !

For our July 18th class, we wanted to give you an opportunity to experience Manos del Uruguay’s newest yarn, Alpaca Heather, a beautiful Alpaca/Wool blend.

Manos released a pattern with this new yarn called the Destello Scarf, and we thought it would be a lovely project to build a class around. Not only will you be making a stunning piece of knitwear, this pattern will also teach you a short row technique , as well as providing more practice for joining new colors and carrying yarn up the sides of your project. It looks complex, but has a fun, easy to master pattern repeat that you’ll be zipping through in no time.

The yarn comes with the class!
Don't want to take the class? Order the kit and start knitting!

Auntie Woolie Says...
Dahlin's!

We're grateful for all of you that stopped by last weekend and continue to support us on line, by phone, as well as in the shop. Our goal is to open the store front as much as we can while still keeping our staff and all of you healthy. We'll be following the guidelines set forth by the experts in the field, as well as our state and county regulations. Our hours will likely be somewhat limited for now as operating a retail shop in these times is even more work than usual.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and for being such a large part of our community.

It's a dynamic situation, so keep up with the latest news on our website at www.cambriayarn.com

Until next time, please stay well and...

Happy Stitching!

Stitching with Kris!

Join us September 25 - 27 for a relaxing weekend in Cambria

We don't know what the fall will bring to us, but we've decided to go ahead with a weekend event we've been planning.

Imagine spending three days in Cambria with an industry professional and life-long knitter and crocheter. Now imagine this in a beautiful Inn surrounded by people, like you, that also love to knit and crochet. That's the idea behind "Stitching with Kris." Think of it as a weekend knitting group.

We've set this for the fall and made our cancellation policies clear so that we keep everyone's safety and comfort in mind.

The Mitad Cowl

Designed by Lisa Myers and knit with one skein of Milo from Manos del Uruguay, a linen-merino blend, this wrap uses garter and short rows for an engaging project from start to finish.

The piece is knit flat on US 4s then grafted together using the three needle bind off.
Since 1978, Manos del Uruguay has transformed the lives of women all over Uruguay. Manos is a Certified Fair-Trade yarn produced by a women's cooperative in Uruguay.

We're proud to stock every yarn Manos makes in every color. We think you'll love it as much as we do.
We did mention sale yarn, didn't we? It's easy to find what's discounted at the web site, just click on "On Sale" and see everything we have discounted! These are final sale items and we're unable to special order them, as a rule.
