Event News
Fashion Fall 2011
We had another immensely successful Fashion Week. The Theater has offered us numerous opportunities to improve our processes and protocols for handling multiple show venues. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and all of the off site Fashion Week shows, have also given us the chance to work with some very exotic materials and to find new uses for standard materials and techniques. As Designers, such as Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste and Michael Kors, become more aware of the possiblilities, we are constantly being challenged by designers to find new materials to use in conventional and unconventional ways, in order to provide the aesthetic demanded by the industry. Our new shop has allowed us to be more responsive to the ever increasing demands of the Fashion Industry, as far as scenery and lighting are concerned and we look forward to learning and expanding, even more.
Volkswagen at MoMA
In May BLT built and lit 373 NY's event for Volkswagen, MoMA and MoMA PS1, an event promoting a new comprehensive partnership lasting several years.

Facility News
CNC Router
We have been very busy using our Thermwood CNC router with an oversized 6' X 12' bed. We can produce 3D items out of wood, plastic and metal. The advanced computer aided routing capabilities have afforded us the opportunity to create pieces that otherwise would have been impossible.
Spray Booth
In early 2011 we completed the installation of our 12'X12'X20' spray booth. It can accommodate large items for a fine quality, paint job with even coverage in a multiple finish types.
