Celebrating our Graduates
Mazal Tov to the Class of 2024! Congratulations on an outstanding Commencement Ceremony last night. Our six graduates, three of whom are the last in their families to graduate and three of whom are the first, spoke beautifully and from the heart. They shared their connections to Judaism and Hashem, the support they've received over the years, their lifelong friendships and family bonds, and their memorable time at RMBA. Please join us in congratulating our newest alumni!

Garden of Legacy
In collaboration with Ingrid and Natan Herc, we have recently launched a campaign to dedicate the Grow Torah Garden in memory of Uri Herc z”l. This garden will symbolize life, renewal, and growth, serving as an outdoor learning space for students to engage with the STEAM curriculum and deepen their spiritual connections. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by July 31 and we need your help getting there! A dedication ceremony is being planned for the start of next school year. Please join us in this meaningful tribute by donating to the campaign. Your support will not only celebrate Uri’s life but perpetuate his values in future generations.

Middle School Preview
Last Friday, our 5th-grade students were surprised with a special "Kidnap Day." Middle school staff and students welcomed the outgoing lower school students to the middle school wing, giving them a taste of middle school life. The day included two mock classes, a middle school Shabbat oneg featuring an upgraded meat cholent, and a popsicle social to conclude the event. We are excited to welcome our rising 6th graders to the upper school next year!

Math and Torah Integration
This week, in Morah Sandy's EC3A class, students explored Parsha Bechukotai, focusing on the farmer's practice of giving one out of every 10 animals to Hashem. This provided a unique opportunity to integrate math and Torah study. Students practiced counting and one-to-one correspondence by counting 10 animals and marking the 10th with red, as instructed in the Torah.

Torah Celebration
Last week, our high school students had the privilege of hosting Rabbi Jeremy Wieder, Rosh Yeshiva at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University. Rabbi Wieder spoke passionately about Shavuot and Matan Torah, enriching our students' understanding of these significant events. In addition to his inspiring words, Rabbi Wieder joined us for the annual Upper School Judaic Studies Siyum, where we celebrated students who have excelled in learning and exemplifying living Torah values. Each award recipient received a sefer, and all students enjoyed a delicious lunch from Saba's Wok as part of the festivities.
