Learning Adventures
Exciting activities unfolded in Morah Aviva's EC4A class this week as center-based learning took center stage! From exploring with loose parts in the Math and Blocks Centers to sensory adventures at the sand table and Science center, our young students delved into a world of cognitive growth and imaginative play. Using a variety of loose parts, they exercised their creativity freely in each center. Over at the sand table, mini volcanoes erupted while captivating patterns and trails emerged at the Math Center with shapes and bear counters. Meanwhile, at the Science table, Morah introduced the concept of transferring using a sponge, water, and two bowls. Students learned to transfer water from one bowl to another by soaking the sponge and squeezing it out, observing absorption and excretion in action. As the class neared the end of the alphabet, with the letter "Ww" in focus this week, the excitement was palpable during the letter-themed Share and Tell, with friends proudly showcasing their water bottles and walkie talkies.

Aleph Humility Craft
This week, Morah Sandy's EC3A class took a break from their Purim preparations to delve into the weekly Torah portion, Vayikra. They discovered a fascinating detail: the presence of a small aleph in the first word, a symbolic compromise between Hashem and Moshe. Moshe, out of humility, was hesitant to convey that Hashem called him personally into the Mishkan, so the word was modified with the small aleph. Through this, the class explored the concept of humility. To reinforce their learning, they crafted their own aleph after locating it in the Chumash.
