The ancient holiday of Beltane or May Day is a celebration to honor the earth and all of nature.  Farmers built fires and led livestock between the flames to increase their fertility.  Beltane is a time to celebrate the Element of Fire which is both a  transforming and creative element. What is Wiccan or Witchcraft?  Wiccan is a very peaceful and harmonious religion which is an Earth based spirituality.  It has to do with finding a deeper connection to nature and to the entire cosmos.  Wiccan believes that we co-create our lives and in living mindfully.

Wiccan is an ethical way of living and a serious religion that honors the Goddess/Feminine as well as the God/Male aspects of Divinity.  In fact, it's the oldest religion tracing back 30,000 years to Paleolithic people.  Witch comes from the Anglo-Saxon word "Wicce" which means wise or sorceress.

What Wiccan or Witchcraft is not?  It's not flying on a broom or worshipping the devil.  In fact, we don't believe in the devil or sin.  We do believe that humans create their own evil and it's handled through the Law of Karma.
