"Four years ago, I asked to work in the Bellesini Summer Program. I assisted other teachers in the classroom, helped students who were stuck on a problem, and graded homework, all of which I truly enjoyed. As the years passed by, I took on more responsibilities and had the opportunity to teach a class for the first time two summers ago. The experience was great and I felt like it was a place that I belonged. This year, I am grateful to be teaching 8th Grade Math and Honors Science at Bellesini Academy. This community not only helped me grow during my time as a student here, but even after graduating. Bellesini has helped me realize the passion I have for teaching and guiding the current generation of Bellesini students."

As we reflect on over two decades of Bellesini’s impact in the City of Lawrence, we are encouraged to see that the work we are doing and the investment of our donors is coming full circle with our alumni. Christian Rodriguez, a member of our Class of 2015, went on to excel at St. John’s Prep and graduated from Harvard this spring. After earning a degree from one of the most prestigious universities in the world, Christian could have gone anywhere and done anything, but he chose to return to Bellesini and join our faculty this fall. He is the fourth alumnus to join our full-time faculty and staff. We are so grateful to have one of our best students return to invest his talents and education in our school community.

Moving forward serving our next generation of students and alumni, we remain steadfast in our commitment to Bellesini’s mission to provide young men and women in Lawrence with outstanding education and support that prepares them for success in private high school, college and their careers:

• Bellesini students gain an average of 8 grade levels in math and language arts over their four years with us;
• 100% of our graduates attend private high schools on scholarship and 100% graduate, compared to just 75% of their Lawrence peers;
• Bellesini’s Alumni Support staff successfully guides our high school seniors through the annual college admissions and financial aid processes. Over the past several years, they have assisted our seniors with applications and interviews for some of the most prestigious college scholarships. With their support, our alumni have received QuestBridge, POSSE, Horatio Alger, Christian Herter, Yawkey, MLK, Stevens Memorial, and Red Pine scholarships, enabling them to achieve their dreams of a college degree;
• 97% of Bellesini alumni attend college, and we are proud to have our graduates attending some of the best institutions in the country over the past five years, including Boston College, Case Western University, Colgate, Harvard, Northwestern, Stanford, University of Chicago, and Wellesley.

The cost to educate a child at Bellesini Academy is $11,000 per year, which provides 2000+ hours of annual instruction, including afternoon enrichment, athletics, and clubs, supervised evening study, and a four week summer program.

$50 sponsors one 12-hour School Day

$100 sponsors one week of After-School Activities

$250 sponsors one week of School

$500 sponsors a year of Evening Study Sessions

$1,000 sponsors a student's Supplies & Textbooks

$1,500 sponsors a year of After-School Activities

$7,000 sponsors a year of academic classes

$11,000 sponsors all of one student's expenses

By sponsoring a student, you make an investment in his or her future that starts them on a path toward earning a college degree. Sponsorship may be at any level, from $500 for evening study sessions to $11,000 to cover the entire cost to educate a student.

Each sponsor receives regular communication from the student, allowing donors a unique opportunity to follow their sponsored student's progress, challenges, and achievements.
