Dear Partner in Mission,
Her quest for truth and discovery helped Sister Miriam Michael Stimson, OP, to develop a scientific technique that led to the discovery of DNA and the development of cancer treatments that are still being used today. She believed that part of her vocation was to be a witness to Christ in the society of scientists.
As a college professor, Sister Miriam Michael instilled her drive for truth into her students and colleagues. I invite you to watch this moving video to hear how Sister Sharon Weber, OP, and Jun Tsuji, Siena Heights University Assistant Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, were inspired by the pioneering scientist and how they hope to keep her legacy alive.
Next week, we conclude our video series by sharing the ministry of Sister Katherine Frazier, OP, who draws inspiration from so many Adrian Dominican Sisters who have shown her how to believe in and work toward a future shaped by love.
We hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful Christmas: one that continues to draw you closer to the Creator and that helps build a future of discovery.
Christmas Blessings,
Amy Palmer, MA, CFRE
