Dear Mishpacha (family),
I would like to share my joy concerning Beit Tehila Congregation’s participation in the “To Gather” event at the Yuengling Center on May 19th. While most universities are having protests against Israel, we were able to come together for worship, prayer, and communion as the One Church of Tampa Bay. It was documented that over 5,000 people signed up to attend this event! I was personally asked to do a Hebrew prayer and was inspired to pray the Shema, and what an honor it was. Last year, when I was asked to do a prayer it was a prayer of repentance for the Gentiles (nations) for their mistreatment of the Jewish people. I felt like I represented the Gentile Church. I believe the Shema prayer for this year was for all of Israel to hear and obey the Lord right now in the time that we are living.
There's nothing better than being led by the Holy Spirit. The scripture tells us in Psalm 37:23; “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” I feel like I am living the Book of Acts everyday and what joy I have in the Holy Spirit. I have had so many divine appointments that I just rest in the Lord. We will be celebrating the Feast of Shavuot (weeks) on June 15th, and what a historical day that it is. This is the day when we celebrate the giving of the marriage covenant (Torah) found in Exodus 19 and the giving of the Holy Spirit found in Acts 2. I want to thank Miss Libby Davis for annually teaching us about the Omer and helping us to count it every Shabbat. In Leviticus 23:15-16 we are commanded to count the Omer and with that a special blessing will be given to those that do it. Obedience always brings a blessing so keep counting until we reach day 50.
I would like to share now what the Father has put on my heart for some time now. Our heavenly Father wants us to be His priests on this earth. You can use these references for now as we embark on this incredible journey together to help further the kingdom of God (Exodus 19:6; Isaiah 61:6, 66:21; I Peter 2:5, 9; Revelation 1:6, 5:10). What do the priests do? They teach the Torah. In Malachi 2:6-7 it says, “6The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. 7For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.” We will also be learning about the Melchezedek Priesthood and how it is relevant for today and in the future. Some of you have probably heard some teachings about the Melchezedek Priesthood out there in our current culture so its definitely something to look in to.
The Lord didn’t write His torah on our minds and hearts for us to sit and be idle. Beit Tehila has had the torah for nearly twenty-five years. On June 8th and the 10th we will be having Pastor Wendi Wood and her husband Jerry with us from Beit Lechem so don’t miss this opportunity. The Lord is bringing us all together in these last days so continue to love the Lord and each other.
Danielle and I want to thank each one of you for giving towards the vision and being a servant.
~Shalom, Pastor Nick
