“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time;
they just have the heart.”

That act of giving is special. It's special because it is 100% the choice of that particular business, group, or individual to determine their resources and then freely give of them. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for those who share what they have: be it monetarily, gifts in kind and those who step out and volunteer.
The Thanksgiving season spurs attitudes of gratitude and time for reflection. It is in this season that we are reminded that our success as a chamber is defined by the active giver. We not only appreciate, but rely on partners to share in the work that we do. The best part? It is our community that directly benefits from our partners generosity.
A very committed chamber partner was kind enough to send me the quote up top. The brevity of this quote, truly speaks to the nature of a volunteer. Because of this, I'd like to honor those that multiply our impact with time. THANK YOU to the men and women who so graciously spend hours volunteering, which means time away from friends and family, to ensure that our local citizenry is supported, encouraged and enhanced through your daily and seasonal undertakings.
Every act of giving is vital and admired. And to each of our businesses, groups and individuals that have presented the Elkhorn Chamber with their times, talents and treasures...we are thankful for you too. Beyond appreciation, we are beholden to your endeavors and are once again reminded that we are better together!
Happy Thanksgiving to our business partners, our community supporters and to all our friends and family in the Elkhorn community.

Located at the WALWORTH COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Join us for a .5 mile drive-thru festival of lights at the fairgrounds. There will be whimsical work stations for Santa’s favorite helpers, music and cheer provided by local favorites and a Santa-Station with the jolly man in red himself that will spark the magic of Christmas. Children are invited to bring their letters to Santa as there will be a special mailbox with straight to the North Pole express service. Guests must remain in their vehicles, unless using restrooms.
This is a “give-back” county wide celebration to ensure that all households in Walworth County have a bright and cheery holiday season!

For the past many, many years, HOPE NOW of Elkhorn and the Elkhorn School District have coordinated food and gift assistance for families in need during the Holidays. In order to limit exposure of our donors, volunteers and families to households outside their own, we will be requesting donations of food cards and store gift cards. HOPE NOW kindly requests the donation of grocery gift cards and store gift cards (ex. Piggly Wiggly, Aldi, WalMart, Target, Kohl’s).
Gift cards will be distributed to families in need based on family size.

Cork Pull - version 2020
Our cork pull experience was always a big hit at the Gala. For a virtual celebration, we certainly cannot have our volunteer angels standing in front of the table of wines...
HOWEVER, to carry the tradition on, we invite you to find your
favorite wines at our favorite stores.
Between November 14 - 30, our partner stores will contribute a
portion of their sales to OAFC!
To sweeten the deal, with this coupon, you will receive a free gift sponsored by
Youngquist Kennedy Orthodontics (while supplies last).

Preventing Infection with
Good Hand Hygiene

No place can be completely free of germs – even hospitals and other health care settings. But you can partner with your caregivers and take steps to lessen the presence of germs. Hand hygiene plays a major role in preventing the spread of diseases.

Walworth County COVID-19 Phased Guidance
|
This document provides broad guidance for recovery from COVID-19 in our community. Walworth County encourages organizations and individuals to consider this guidance and apply it where able. Organizations should feel empowered to implement solutions that best meet their needs and should develop plans to adjust practices in the event of another rise in COVID-19 cases.
