Though we are still enjoying the slower days of summer, we wanted to reach out and provide important information, updates, and reminders about the upcoming start of the 2024-25 school year.
We have selected a couple of the time sensitive highlights for you to review below. Please visit the Beginning of the Year webpage and the Frequently Asked Questions webpage, which contains ALL the information that you need to know now. Pro tip: bookmark these pages for easy access. We will have more updates in early August as we get closer to the beginning of the school year.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our faith-filled and vibrant community. We especially want to welcome our new freshman class and incoming transfer students into our sisterhood of heart, faith, courage, and excellence.
Enjoy the rest of summer and see you soon!

Academic Schedule Changes | |
|
Students were issued their schedule the week of June 10. If they want to make changes they can still make an appointment the week of July 15 for an in person meeting with Dr. Chaponot to make a change to their schedule (see instructions below). If they miss the window this week, they will be able to come in during orientation. Once school starts, they will have a little under two weeks to make adjustments.
Summer Schedule Change Instructions
Step 1: Status and Availability of Classes
- Some classes have been canceled and other classes are full. Before you request a schedule change, review the status and availability of classes to see if the class you are interested in is running and has space available. Please note that space in a class does not mean your individual schedule can fit the class. There may be other conflicts.
- This document will be updated at the end of the day during schedule adjustment time (July 8 - July 19).
Step 2: Make an Appointment
-
Students may request schedule changes from July 8 to July 19 by scheduling an in-person appointment with Dr. Chaponot.
- The next window for schedule changes will be the first week of classes.
Step 3: Submit a Schedule Change Form
- The form will be required for any schedule change.
- Please fill out the form no later than the day before your appointment.
- If the schedule request is simple, your request may be processed virtually and you could avoid a trip to campus.
- If you do not fill out the form, you will be asked to do so when you arrive and this will cut down on your appointment time.

Emergency Notifications by Text Message
In the event of a schoolwide emergency, Carondelet has the capability to alert parents/guardians via email, phone call, and/or text messaging through a service called SchoolMessenger. In order for you to receive text messages from Carondelet in an emergency situation, you must opt-in to this service.
To opt-in now, send a text message to 67587 reading “Y” or “Yes.”
If you believe you have opted in previously, you can send the same text mentioned above to confirm your membership. If your child previously attended a school that uses School Messenger (including De La Salle), then your opt-in is already complete.
We will notify families and students of periodic tests before they happen. Please direct any questions to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications, Jill Okimoto.
Changing Contact Info
If you need to change any of your personal information, please complete the Request to Change Demographic Information form. Please contact Director of Educational Technology Katie Almonte for emergency contact and medical changes.
PowerSchool and Schoology Access
Class of 2028 and new Transfer Student families should receive an email on July 22 at 3:00 PM regarding access to PowerSchool and Schoology. If you are a new parent/guardian and don’t receive the email, or would like to add an email address, please reach out to Director of Educational Technology Katie Almonte.

Carondelet iPad Policy and Reminders
Students need to bring their iPad to Carondelet each day. NO other device is authorized (with the exception of select sophomore students who are allowed to bring a computer for use in a specific class). The iPads are school-managed devices and contain apps that are chosen for a reason. In addition, the school’s choice of iPad for our program is specifically because it’s not a laptop. Carondelet will not provide tech nor academic support to students using different devices.
iPads should be fully charged and updated to the most recent iOS as approved by the school. For fall 2024, iPads should be updated to at least iPad OS 17.4. Starting with the class of 2028, Apple Pencils have been issued to students and should be charged and brought to class each day. All students should have a quality stylus to use with their iPad. For more information, please refer to our Educational Technology policies.
If there is an issue with a school-issued device, please contact Librarian Michelle Koski.
