Dear AGC Members,
Now is the time! As we embark on the final month of construction for The Little Darling Par 3 Course, you won’t want to miss out on the opportunity to become a Little Darling Founding Member. Not only will your contribution receive generous extended membership benefits to Little Darling, you will also be forever linked to helping leave a legacy for AGC and the Alexandria community that will pay dividends for generations to come.
WHY NOW?
The special membership benefits will be offered ONLY during the construction phase of the golf course which will conclude in early August 2024. We have received contribution pledges from about 125 AGC members thus far – approximately 1/3 of our total membership. A number of generous members have contributed $50,000 - $100,000 each to assist in the project and we have even received $100,000 from an individual who does not reside in the state but plays in the Resorters each year. I’m extremely grateful for those of you who believe in the merits of this project and have been able to help. Pledges now total approximately $1.3 million – Thank you! To complete the course construction phase as we currently have planned, we need to raise a minimum of $200,000 during the next month. I want you all to know that we are making extremely efficient use of the funding. Construction of The Little Darling Par 3 Course will be completed for about one-third of the cost that it would have taken to build this amazing venue had we used a golf contractor. Not a single dollar of your contributions are being wasted in the completion of the project!
What are the benefits to becoming a Founding Member?
Current AGC members receive special benefits during the construction phase of the project. Listed below are the contribution levels and benefits for becoming a Little Darling Founding Member:
- Anyone contributing a minimum of $100,000 receives the following:
- Lifetime membership to “The Little Darling” Par 3 Course with no annual dues.
- Key recognition as a Primary Founding Member to be prominently displayed on one of the (9) hole tee signs
- Key recognition on a paver located on “The Little Darling” walkway
- Key recognition prominently displayed on the “Little Darling Lookout”
- 100 guest passes to “The Little Darling” Par 3 Course. Each pass good for one Free Round on “The Little Darling” course.
- 7-day advance tee time reservations
- AGC Members contributing $10,000 receive the following:
- 20-year membership to “The Little Darling” Par 3 Course with no annual dues.
- Key recognition on a paver located on “The Little Darling” walkway
- 7-day advance tee time reservations
- AGC members contributing $5,000 receive the following:
- 10-year membership to “The Little Darling” Par 3 Course with no annual dues
- Key recognition on paver located on “The Little Darling” walkway
- 7-day advance tee time reservations
If I don’t become a Founding Member, what will the membership costs be for Little Darling?
Should an AGC member be unwilling or unable to become a Founding Member of The Little Darling Par 3 Course, they will have the opportunity to add a Little Darling membership to their core golf course membership for the following additional costs:
- Family Membership - $900 / year
- Single Membership - $600 / year
As you can see, the benefits for Founding Members are substantial and intended to be a real win / win for those helping us get the golf course built.
What are the expected daily fees for The Little Darling Par 3 Course?
Based on the remarkable success of par 3 courses across the United States, we expect this exciting new venue to become a very popular attraction for our members, community residents and tourists from all over the country. Our objective is to ensure The Little Darling Par 3 Course is an affordable entertainment option for everyone - especially for our youth. That said, the daily fee structure must generate the revenue needed to successfully maintain the golf course in the meticulous fashion that we have all become accustomed to at AGC. The expected daily fee structure is listed in the Frequently Asked Questions Summary accessible in the link I have included at the conclusion of this communication.
The Little Darling Vision is becoming reality!
What was only a dream exactly 24 months ago is now becoming a reality. The successful completion of The Little Darling Par 3 Course will be something very special for AGC and for our community. Phase 1 has always been to complete a remarkable par 3 course that will be an incredible attraction for our club and Douglas County. Phase 2 of the project will include the completion of an Alexandria Junior Golf Foundation Learning Center to benefit our youth. The Junior Learning Center and The Little Darling Par 3 Course will give our youth access to a game that teaches valuable life lessons, builds character, and will help them become better, and more successful, adults. We will also be granting a number of scholarships each year to deserving youth for access to the course, our practice facility, and our junior golf program. What a blessing it will be to help those who need it get a start in life that will make them better citizens of the community. The Little Darling Project will be a legacy we can all be proud of as we strengthen our youth, our families, and the community we all love!
