High School and Beyond Plan

The district provides middle school and high school students access to a technology application called Career Cruising. Students use Career Cruising to complete interest inventories and to explore possible post-secondary education, college, and career options as part of their High School and Beyond Plan. Beginning in grade 8, students also use Career Cruising to register for their high school classes. This fall, the district is transitioning to a new and improved version of Career Cruising called Xello. Xello has improved functionality and an improved user interface. Information from students’ Career Cruising accounts will be accessible in Xello, and students will also be able to access a “read only” version of their Career Cruising pages. Career Cruising is temporarily unavailable to students during the transition to Xello. Eighth grade students will be introduced to the new Xello platform in their classes, in conjunction with High School and Beyond Plan activities.
