As we begin the year, we are delighted to welcome all our returning students as well as welcome a new batch of freshman and transfer students. Our incoming freshman class is the largest ever in the past 10 years! Thank you to all our faculty and staff who have done a superb job in our recruiting. The Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota welcomes four new faculty members to begin in the fall 2017 semester.
 
The new faculty members include Dr. Kwabena Kesse, assistant professor of finance, Karen Davies, instructor of accounting, Dr. Bart Hanus, assistant professor of decision sciences, and Dr. Matt Friedman, visiting assistant professor of economics. Continue Reading
Beacom School of Business Appoints New Graduate Coordinators

The Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota announced new leadership for their graduate business programs, effective Monday, July 3. Tyler Custis has been named the M.B.A. faculty coordinator and Marcie Sariol has been named the M.P.A. faculty coordinator. In these roles, Custis and Sariol are responsible for the academic direction of the graduate programs and will collaborate with faculty and business school leadership to distinguish these programs .  Continue reading
Delta Sigma Pi Student Chapter Wins Regional and National Awards
Fourteen students and their faculty advisor from the Alpha Eta Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi traveled to New Orleans last month for the Grand Chapter Congress. Students participated in fraternity legislative, professional development and fraternity management seminars. In addition the Alpha Eta Chapter also won several regional, provincial and national awards, including the only chapter to receive Outstanding Financial Operations for the nation!

Beacom Launching Executive Education Program
Executive education delivers immediate ROI by helping businesses learn new skills to solve their most pressing challenges.
