In light of the recent news coverage of the severe erosion in Jupiter Inlet Colony, the Town would like to highlight that despite the rough winter sea conditions, the beaches of the Town of Jupiter Island (the Town) have held up well and have not experienced impacts to homes on the island.
Areas of erosion and concern along the Town's beach are closely monitored and the Town is well-positioned to respond to any future emergencies through its existing permits and standing contracts for beach and dune restoration.
Residents of the Town of Jupiter Island seeking additional information on the conditions of the Town's beaches should contact Beach District Director, John Duchock at (772) 545-0187.
