Strategic Dreaming 2024-2026

BeConnected's Strategic Plan is updated annually and revised every three years. It is developed with input from persons served, families, personnel, and other stakeholders through our strategic dreaming exercise!

The Strategic Plan outlines how we will deliver on our vision and mission and identifies accomplishments from the previous plan. 2021-2023 was a very successful period of growth and development at BeConnected and we want to keep that momentum going into 2024!

SABF Summer BBQ

SABF ended their season with a Summer BBQ at Gorge Park with a celebration of almost 100 people! SABF will be returning to in person meetings for the 2023-2024 season, starting September 12th!

BeConnected Summer BBQ's

We held our 3rd and 4th Community Inclusion BBQ of the summer. We had great food, great weather, and awesome music by DJ Dyegon!

Our Cowichan Valley Coordinators have been hard at work helping to organize this great event in Duncan!

BeSocial Club Vancouver Trip

BeConnected's Social Club will be taking a trip to Vancouver on September 29th for the BC Lion's Orange Shirt Day game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

This year marks the return of their Indigenous marketplace for vendors to sell and showcase their products with entertainment that includes DJ Oshow, street party performances, and a special halftime show!

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

On September 30th, British Columbia will be marking its first statutory holiday acknowledging the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This is a day for all Canadians to commemorate the history and legacy of the residential school system. We honor the resilience, dignity, and strength of survivors and intergenerational survivors and remember the children who never came home.

Canadians are encouraged to wear orange and participate in local events or find meaningful ways to learn about our shared history.

The Songhees Nation will be hosting a South Island Powwow at Royal Athletic Park from 10am until midnight. Find out more information here.
