UPCOMING EVENTS

Each year BeConnected holds a Spring Food Drive to help restock the shelves after the holiday donations start to run low. This past year in particular, food banks saw donations decrease while demand increased. Non-perishable food items can still be dropped off to BeConnected's Head Office until the end of the week.

One of our annual green initiatives at BeConnected is to participate in Earth Hour! For one hour, join people from around the world and turn off your lights!

BeSocial Club

Our BeSocial Club is once again preparing for a trip to Vancouver to see the Canucks play the Kraken on April 4th!

Hoppy Easter! What better way to celebrate spring than with BeConnected's Annual Easter Party!

Challenger Baseball at Hampton Little League is celebrating it's 10th anniversary season! Hope to see you there!

BeConnected's Annual BeCommunity Art Show will be on display for the month of May at the Spiral Cafe. Submit your artwork to BeConnected's Head Office by April 27th for it to be included in this year's show.

Operation Trackshoes

Operation Trackshoes is back and will be celebrating its 50th year from June 9-11, 2023! Unfortunately the Board of Director's have made the difficult decision to make this year the final year.

Come cheer on our BeConnected Trailblazers in their final Operation Trackshoes event!

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

A focus on cultural competency and diversity enables us to improve our ability to provide culturally sensitive services to the individuals and communities we serve. Our human resources practices are designed to encourage a diverse workplace. Embracing diversity in our workplace contributes to a more innovating, accepting, inclusive, and safe environment for people to give and to receive services and support.

Recently our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (previously the Cultural Competency Committee) completed a 15 month exercise reviewing the 94 Calls to Action generated by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. BeConnected is committed to making changes within our organization to align with the 94 Calls to Action.
