Staff Highlight - Wendy Peterson, Nurse Practioner
Wendy Peterson, RN, MS, FNP-BC is a Nurse Practitioner in Primary and Urgent Care. Her Tang Tip involves taking advantage of health services that don't require an in-person visit. She also urges students to "protect your investment" with a helmet when riding a bike, scooter, or skateboard. Check out

NEW! Wellness Vending Machine at RSF and Sharps Container at Tang
A new
Wellness Vending Machine was launched at the RSF last month! This vending machine is for your privacy, convenience, and health! It has first aid, general over-the-counter medications and sexual health products. All the items are low cost and can be accessed whenever the RSF is open! Find the machine on the first floor near the basketball courts.
There's a
new sharps drop-off container
located in the Radiology waiting area on the first-floor. Students and community members can get rid of used medical needles for proper disposal.
Accepted
: sharps (such as hypodermic needles, pen needles, pre-loaded sharps, auto injectors, intravenous needles, lancets, and other devices used to penetrate the skin for drawing blood, or for the delivery of medications) contained in sharps containers approved by the FDA.
Not accepted: unwanted medicine, controlled substances, shaving razors, loose needles, loose sharps that are not contained in sharps containers approved by the FDA.
