Filing is now open for delegates to attend the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago from August 19 to 22.

Florida's 16th Congressional District – which includes all of Manatee County and part of Hillsborough County – will be represented at the convention by two men and three women formally elected by Democrats in the district.

People interested in serving as a congressional district delegate have until noon on March 25 to file.

The 16th Congressional District election will take place at

• The New Lakewood Ranch Library, 16410 Rangeland Parkway, Lakewood Ranch, and at the Manatee County Democratic Party Office, 435 Cortez Road West, Bradenton.
• Early Voting: Thursday, April 18, 3:00 to 7:00 pm
• Election Day: Saturday, April 20, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
