A Word From Our President |

As you probably know, this is my last President’s Message with the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. Later this month, I will depart the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce for a new challenge as Chief Operating Officer with Business Leaders for Michigan.
For nearly five years, we have grown and built the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce together, successfully tackling the biggest issues facing our community, including infrastructure, workforce shortages and global pandemic. I have no doubt the strong Chamber Team and membership will enable a new President & CEO to find great success in our community.
Sheril and I have truly enjoyed being a part of our community and value the friendships we have made over the years. We look forward to the continued success of the Bay Area and Great Lakes Bay Region as we begin our new adventure.

American Pickers are coming to Michigan this May!
American Pickers is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique “picking” on The History Channel. The hit show follows skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. They are always excited to find sizeable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them.
As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the Pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, they want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way. The Pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before. They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them.
The American Pickers TV Show is looking for leads and would love to explore your hidden treasure. If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, send us your name, phone number, location, and description of the collection with photos to:

Lynn Roberts is the PR Manager & a Sales Consultant at Thelen Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Bay City. As the PR Manager, she has a couple of fun events she is currently working on. The first is the Mr. Vanderquack Jeep Convoy Sunday, March 6 at 9am, which will benefit St. Jude. She is also working with Bay County Michigan Jeeps to plan the annual Jeep Freedom Ride on May 21st (Armed Forces Day) to benefit the Veteran's Workshop in downtown Bay City.
Lynn loves being involved in our community. She is also on the committee for the Women's Center's Power of the Purse.
She is a proud member of the Bay City Lions Club w/ fellow Ambassador Jessica Gregory, who is the current President.
Lynn loves CrossFit and running. She enjoys doing both with her hubby Jeff. She is also currently a race Ambassador for the Bay City St. Pat's Race. She'll be running the Irish Double with Jeff. "Well, not actually with him...he will be way ahead of me lol!"
