A Word From Our President
We are nearing the end of February which means spring is almost here. We are also only two weeks away from our biggest event of the year - our 140th Chamber Annual Meeting!
Our Annual Meeting will host a Silent Auction to support the Leadership Bay County Class of 2023's project for Foster Families Navigation & Resource Center. We will also be honoring several award recipients including Athena, Business Hall of Fame, Leadership Bay County Alumni Community Service Award, Bay Area Energize YPN, and Ambassador Club Awards.
Our theme is "There's No Place Like Home", and we are truly lucky to call Bay County and the Great Lakes Bay Region our home. We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Meeting. Make sure to RSVP today, we plan to have another sold out program!

Leadership Bay County Class of 2023 Class Project
The Leadership Bay County Class of 2023 is working on their class project and need your help!
They are working to raise funds to help Foster Families Navigation & Resource Center (FFNRC) complete a training room on the lower level of their current facility in Bay City. The training room is a location to educate families interested in how to get licensed to foster, provide a space for additional training for current foster families, and a place for resources and support to anyone inquiring about the process of fostering youth. The training facility will also host events and seminars with organizations like the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Mental Health Service providers, and the FFNRC team to help bring more awareness and education to Bay County and the surrounding area.

Brick Award Presentations
The Brick Award was developed by the Bay Area Chamber Ambassadors to recognize the investment a Bay County business makes to the community when it expands, renovates, or improves its facility. The Awards for February were presented to the following businesses: Avaitor Cookie Company and Physical Therapy & Rehab Specialists.
| |
Aviator Cookie Company – presented by Megan Manning, Bay Future, Inc.
Aviator Cookie in Bay City is located on Wilder Rd. Chris has done the majority of the build out of custom-built counter top made out of an airplane wing, painting, flooring, edging, floating shelves, installed menu boards, handwashing sink, and the addition of a new wall. He enlisted the service of Three Rivers Corporation to assist in installing under floor piping for a handwashing sink and hot water tank. These renovations brought the space up to code for a retail food service facility.
Aviator Cookie specializes in making quality cookies from scratch without any added preservatives, baked fresh every day. With over 40 cookie recipes of Chris’ own creation, they sell different varieties every day. Aviator Cookie Company has a fun aviation themed atmosphere, featuring an actual airplane wing serving as the counter.

Physical Therapy & Rehab Specialists – presented by Lyndsey O’Brien, EXP Realty
Physical Therapy & Rehab Specialists converted office space in Uptown to a PT practice with a contemporary look and feel in an open concept design. The entire space is new and was thoughtfully designed in pleasing colors and textures to ensure all of the services offered are in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Their mission is to serve their patients and are committed to treating you promptly with integrity, honesty and compassion. In addition to in-clinic treatment, they offer tele-health physical therapy services as an option should you choose to receive your care through video interaction/conferencing with a licensed therapist, all from the comfort of your home.
