ACC Student Affairs Logo

Hello Student Affairs Colleagues,

Last month, we shared a message regarding our Bats to Cats (BTC) transfer program, which offers pathways for ACC students to receive guaranteed admission and a seamless transfer to Texas State University (TXST). Eligible students will have the opportunity to apply for the program when the declaration form opens on Sept. 1, 2024, with the aim of transferring to TXST in fall 2025 and beyond.

The BTC Implementation project team has developed an internal site for Faculty and staff to serve as your one-stop shop for all BTC training topics, program updates, frequently asked questions, and more. As the BTC program continues to evolve, our team will continue to update the site to reflect these changes.

This site is intended for internal faculty and staff use only, and should not be shared with students. Please continue to refer students to the public Bats to Cats website, which will also be updated as the program evolves.

We hope this additional resource will empower you to connect eligible students with this amazing opportunity. As we pursue our theory of change, we know the importance of creating seamless transfer experiences for our students. With your help, through the BTC program students will:

  • Transfer in a shorter amount of time
  • Transfer with more credits that directly apply to their TXST degree, thus saving time and money
  • Transfer with a sense of belonging and community with both ACC and TXST

Thank you for saying yes’ to making our BTC program a success for our students.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our program email address, batstocats@austincc.edu, or submit your feedback via the internal site feedback form.

Sincerely,

Dr. Guillermo “Willie” Martinez III
