Dear Student Affairs Colleagues,
We are pleased to share with you that the Bats to Cats (BTC) declaration form is officially open!
The declaration form will be open and active Sept. 1 through Dec. 15, 2024, and Feb. 1 through Aug. 15, 2025, for students intending to transfer to Texas State University (TXST) in Fall 2025 and beyond. BTC is currently for students intending to transfer to TXST in select majors. Please note that students pursuing any major at ACC can transfer to Texas State University by meeting the admissions criteria, which you can find here. For more information on ACC's transfer resources and support, visit the ACC Transfer Services website.
TXST is the top transfer school for most Riverbats with locations in San Marcos and Round Rock. The BTC transfer program offers pathways for ACC students to receive guaranteed admission and a seamless transfer to TXST.
As we pursue our Theory of Change across the College, we know the importance of creating seamless transfer experiences for our students. Through the BTC program, students will:
- Transfer in a shorter amount of time
- Transfer with more credits that directly apply to their TXST degrees, thus saving time and money
- Transfer with a sense of belonging and community with both ACC and TXST
Each of you as Student Affairs team members will be vital in helping connect eligible students with this program moving forward. The BTC Implementation project team has developed an internal site for Faculty and staff to serve as your one-stop shop for all BTC training topics, program updates, frequently asked questions, and more. As the BTC program continues to evolve, our team will continue to update the site to reflect these changes.
This site is intended for internal faculty and staff use only, and should not be shared with students. Please continue to refer students to the public Bats to Cats website, where students can learn more about the BTC program and submit their declaration form. This website will also be updated as the program evolves.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our program email address, batstocats@austincc.edu, or submit your feedback via the internal site feedback form.
Sincerely,
Dr. Guillermo “Willie” Martinez III
