Baptisms & Walking on Water - A Word from Pastor Jeff

Hey Harbor Family,

May is here, and we have some exciting things happening in the life of our church. To keep up with everything going on, please make sure and stay connected to our website and to our social media platforms (links above). Speaking of the website…

Just this week, we launched a brand new website! This new version of TheHarbor.life contains all of the same information and connection points as our old one; we just needed to switch over to a new platform, which allowed us to offer some updates to our site as well. If you make use of our Prayer Wall, you'll notice it is still under construction. We hope to have the new Prayer Wall available by the end of May. If you’re having any issues with the new website, please let us know by clicking here. As it is now live, we will also be working out some kinks as we become aware of them. Thank you for your patience as we get up and running on our new platform.

This Sunday, we will be continuing our More Than A Miracle series by looking at the story of Jesus calming the storm (and Peter walking on the water). Jesus is our hope because He’s our anchor in the storm! We’re also going to be celebrating baptism, where we don’t expect anyone to walk on the water, but we do expect a great time of celebration as we get to visibly see a part of our vision on display: To restore those who are battered, refuel the weary, and return to our lives with Jesus at the center, changing the world one life at a time! Each person getting baptized represents “one life” that Jesus has changed, and we are anticipating over 35 “one life’s” going public with their faith through baptism. This past Sunday, we had two people let us know they surrendered leadership of their life to Jesus, and we celebrate that as well!

Harbor Kids Camp is coming up on June 10th -14th. Registration closes this Sunday, May 12th. This year's theme is “Let the Games Begin!” The focus will be on teaching our children to “Fight the good fight, run the race, and finish strong!” We'll be diving into His Word, serving like Him, and of course competing for the ultimate prize. Harbor Kidz Camp is for children completing kindergarten through 5th grade this year. To register a camper, join the serve team, or find out more information, please click here. This is a great opportunity to invite a child or family who doesn’t have a church home to come experience Jesus through Kidz Camp.

Membership Class - Want to know more about The Harbor, what we believe, how we operate, and how to become a member? Join us for a Membership Class on Sunday, May 19, at 9:00 or 11:00 AM, in Harbor Rooms 2 & 3. Coming to the class is not a commitment to join, but a chance to get to know us, and to decide for yourself if membership at The Harbor is right for you. You'll meet some of our staff and Board members and learn about our vision, values, and ministries. We'll answer any questions you may have about The Harbor as well. RSVP is required and childcare is provided. For more information or to sign up, please go here.

Lastly, Harbor Catalyst Weekend is open for registrations - Men’s Weekend is September 12 - 15, 2024, and Women’s Weekend is October 10 - 13, 2024. The Harbor Catalyst Weekend is a spiritual intensive designed for Participants to experience restoration, renewal, insight, and inspiration that fuels spiritual growth. The experiential Weekend is for anyone who wants to develop a more vibrant and meaningful faith in Jesus Christ that can return with them to their everyday lives. Catalyst is a structured 72 hours which begins on Thursday evening and ends Sunday afternoon. The Weekend schedule is strategically created to move individuals toward a fuller understanding of who God is, who God created them to be, and how they might more thoroughly experience the full life Jesus came to provide.

For all our Catalyst alumni, this is our opportunity to invite those who haven’t been and be an advocate for someone to experience Catalyst Weekend.

If you are interested in the Weekend but have not been invited by an alumni to be an advocate for you, we can assist you in that process. Click here to find out more information and to register for the event. We would be so honored to have you join us on this Weekend.

That’s all I have this month! I love you, Harbor family, and can’t wait to celebrate with Jesus and our baptism candidates on Sunday. See you there.

Til the end,

Jeff Maness
